IMPORTANT INFORMATION

ITS AIMS
(a) To enable you to invest a lump sum to provide a regular income and the potential for some capital growth.
(b) To pay a lump sum on death.

YOUR COMMITMENT
(a) You agree to invest a single premium of £10,000 to £50,000
(b) If you cash in your policy before the fifth policy anniversary a surrender penalty will apply which could mean a reduction in capital
(c) There is no fixed term but your Bond should be viewed as a medium to long term investment.

RISK FACTORS
(a) The proceeds of the policy will depend on investment performance. The investment return may be less than illustrated in the quotation, which accompanies this document.
(b) If the policy is cashed in at a time of adverse investment conditions the value may be reduced to take account of those conditions.
(c) Your circumstances may change, forcing you to cash in early.
(d) If you are a higher rate tax payer then some tax may be payable on the policy proceeds.

CANCELLATION RIGHTS
After your proposal is accepted you will receive a notice of your right to cancel. You will then have 30 days in which to change your mind.

LAW
In legal disputes the Law of England and Wales will apply.

LEGISLATION
All or any of the benefits, the premiums, or the policy conditions may be adjusted as deemed appropriate
If there is any change in Law or taxation affecting the policy
If any levy is imposed on the Society under statute or statutory authority
As a consequence of any amendment to General Laws.

Notice would be given of any such adjustments.

QUERIES AND COMPLAINTS
For further information or if you wish to complain about any aspect of the service you have received, please contact the Society. If a complaint is not dealt with to your satisfaction you can then complain to the Financial Services Ombudsman, South Quay Plaza, 183 Marsh Wall, London E14 9SR, or telephone: 020 7964 1000. Making a complaint will not prejudice your right to take legal proceedings.

Information on compensation arrangements is available from the Society on request.
